1. Information We Collect

CartCloser AI connects with your website and e-commerce platform (e.g., WordPress, WooCommerce®, Shopify) to provide an AI-driven sales and support assistant. To deliver accurate responses, we synchronize public page content (including custom meta fields) and product catalog details, such as titles, descriptions, pricing, live inventory status, and variations.

User-Submitted Data: When visitors voluntarily interact with the assistant, we process only the information they explicitly provide:

• Inquiry & Lead Forms: Contact details (such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, and inquiry notes) submitted by end-users requesting quotes or service details.
• Stock & Price Alerts: Email addresses submitted specifically for back-in-stock or price-drop notifications. These details are stored solely to deliver the requested notification and are automatically purged once the alert has been sent.

Store owners maintain full control and can enable, configure, or disable Lead Forms, Price Alerts, and Stock Alerts at any time directly within the CartCloser AI dashboard settings.

Data Exclusions: Except for the explicitly submitted inquiries and alerts outlined above, we do not sync, scrape, or store your historical customer databases, general end-user browsing histories, or payment card details. All payment processing remains securely handled by your existing e-commerce gateway.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your store data strictly to power the CartCloserAI shopping assistant on your storefront. The data is processed using third-party artificial intelligence providers to generate vector embeddings and semantic search results. We use your standard merchant account information (email, billing details) strictly for account management, security alerts, and communication.

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. Your website pages/product catalog data is shared securely via encrypted API with our approved AI partners solely for the purpose of generating search results for your customers.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. All data transferred between your store, our servers, and our AI partners is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3. Data at rest is secured using AES-256 encryption. While no system is impenetrable, we continuously monitor our infrastructure for vulnerabilities.

5. Cookies & Analytics

On our marketing website and dashboard, we use essential cookies to maintain your login session and secure your account. We may also use anonymized analytics cookies to understand how visitors interact with our site, which helps us improve our service. You can manage your cookie preferences through the banner on our website or your browser settings.

6. Your Data Rights

Depending on your location (such as under the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, or CCPA), you have the right to request access to the data we hold about you, request corrections to inaccurate data, or request the complete deletion of your account and associated catalog data. You also have the right to data portability.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your synced pages/product catalog only for as long as your active subscription remains in good standing. If you uninstall the CartCloserAI application or explicitly ask us to delete your account, your data and generated AI embeddings are permanently purged from our active servers within 30 days.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the email address associated with your account or through a prominent notice on our dashboard before the changes take effect.

9. Contact & Data Requests

UK Web Services acts as the Data Controller for your account information. If you have any privacy-related questions, require a Data Processing Agreement (DPA), or wish to exercise your data rights, please reach out to our compliance team.
